However, many people today are unaware or do not truly understand this topic. In her book, the writer appeals to the rescue and cultivation of innate human capacities, in light of the changes brought by Artificial Intelligence, which she considers a necessary evil for humanity.
The author proposes harmony between the two—not conflict—and questions whether AI can surpass consciousness and wisdom: “Ultimately, it is our center—our soul, if you will—despite the answer seeming obvious.”
“We have been technological beings ever since it became necessary to develop extensions of our body and mind in order to interact with the environment and thus survive as beings subject to the earth and the elements, that is, to insecurity and uncertainty. But behind this technological development lies that center, that which we have called by many names, but which we recognize as our essence and origin,” reflects the Colombian writer on the use of new technologies in this era, where social media could be considered a breaking point for society itself.
